Sunday, September 8, 2013, 1:13AM

For the second Preseason Cape Cod Storm Hockey Tournament game in a row, the U16 Jr. Shamrocks gave up the first goal to go down 1-0 early in the first period. This time it was to the host Cape Cod Storm that would score first.

The second period started just like the first period as the Storm scored a quick goal to go up 2-0 early in the second period. This time the Jr. Shamrocks came right back and cut the Storms lead in half on a beautiful unassisted goal by Katarina Roy. She dangled a few defense and walked right in scoring low right hand corner with a great shot. The game went back and forth with both teams fighting hard until a little more than half way through the third period when Jr. Shamrocks forward Christina Wierzbicki scored, assisted by Katarina Roy, to tie the game at 2-2. Neither team was able to score again and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

The U16 Jr. Shamrocks will continue their tournament play when the take on the Boston Bandits Sunday morning at 8:00 am at the New Falmouth Ice Arena.
